REPURPOSING WIND TURBINE BLADES FOR A BETTER AUSTRALIA. THIS IS TURBINE MADE.

Turbine Made represents a groundbreaking circular solution, turning decommissioned wind turbine blades into innovative products. This Australian-first initiative is kick-starting the renewables circular economy, offering sustainable solutions for end-of-life wind turbine blades.

A Future Industry-Wide Challenge

Australia is home to 31 wind farms with turbines over 15 years old. Over the next decade, countless blades will require replacement. We need a scalable solution, diverting significant material from landfills and creating a foundation for sustainable industry transformation.

Building on ACCIONA’s innovations in Europe, we have started to pioneer the future of blade recycling in Australia by transforming these retired blades into a valuable new material.

We call it Turbine Made.

We’re seeking collaborators to expand Turbine Made solutions. From business leaders to researchers and startups, we invite you to join us in co-developing innovative products using particulate derived from wind turbine blades.

    ACCIONA x El Ganso

In partnership with El Ganso, we’ve created a world-first sneaker that showcases the potential of Turbine Made materials. The El Ganso x ACCIONA model features an exclusive design, combining the branding of both companies and highlighting the reclaimed blade material in its sole. The first series repurposes waste from a blade that operated at the Aibar wind farm in Navarra, Spain, since 1998.
